I need some solid answers--I'm not smart enough to follow. I think I'm ready for this show to wrap up. I love it, but it's time for me. I can't help but think the end is gonna be a disappointment. Hope I'm wrong though.

So the island is a big, candy factory and Jacob is Willy Wonka looking for a "candidate" good enough to take it over? It appears that Locke turned into the giant blueberry and is out of the running and Sayid has jumped into the river of chocolate and is "infected" and is about to get his name crossed off?

I wonder what "fake Locke" is really up to? Maybe he knows that Sawyer is "the one" and plans to spoil Jacob's plans?

It also appears that Jacob pulled an Obi Wan Kenobi and came back stronger after being "killed" so easily? That boy running around the island has fake Locke spooked - especially when Sawyer could see him also - that seemed to catch Locke off guard.

Someone made a prediction that Sawyer will be the new Nemesis and Jack will be the new Jacob...I think this may end up being pretty close.

i just finally watched it last night and immediately thought of this. Someone on this board called that a few weeks ago.

I wonder who the boy is. He knew about the "rules" about not killing Jacob.

Also, as a side note, in the other world (the flash sideways), Rose and Hurley were on the same plane that landed at LAX. That's kinda odd since now we just learned that Hurley is Rose's boss at the temp agency. Strange that Ross and her boss would just happen to be coming home on the same plane from Sydney. So clearly they knew each other prior to the doomed flight. So, technically, back in season 1, Rose and Hurley should have known each other...but yet, it didn't appear that way. Something's amiss.

I think the boy is young jacob. The flash sideways is an alternate life. I.E. hurley is "the luckiest guy in the world" where originally he was cursed. so in the alternate world he,rose,bernard etc. know each other. Maybe they were on a company trip to OZ. Maybe Rose was getting treatment for her cancer?

Stop trying so hard.

Everything we have seen in all episodes and seasons is a portrayal of what happened in Hurley's brain due to oxygen deprivation during the time between when the plane came apart and he passed out and when it hit the ground.

It's like a big dream... all this occurred in his mind in a flash.

No one will ever trust ABC or these writers with science fiction ever again, obviously.

I don't watch the show and know little about it. Hasn't it been on like 3 or 4 years? So if that's the case have the people been stranded on the island for that whole time?

Cuz' the fat guy with pony tail hasn't lost any weight which would be odd if you were stuck on an island. Is there like an Old Country Buffet hidden in the temple thingie somewhere??

Yeah, Hurley hasn't lost any weight... that's because he hasn't had enough time with this all occurring in his brain in "a flash."

That sounds about right. And like what was mentioned earlier, Jack will help (or become the new Jacob) and Sawyer will be the new Smokey... getting help from Claire and eventually Sayied.

I wonder who Jacob needs to bring to the island.
