Nascar blasphemy?
Watched crashcar today out of boredom... Noticed that the "co-Grandmarshalls" Were Carrol Shelby and Kim Kardashian.... Is that not some kind of major slap in the face to car guys everywhere?
|
Kim Kar-shian??
Can you say: ATTENTION HO?? |
Big time! She just stood there looking slutty while Shelby utter the most famous words in motorsports.
|
I watched a few minutes of the race at the beginning. At one point I counted four corporate logos on the screen at once. Times must be hard for the business. I actually forgot about the race until this morning when the winner was announced on tee vee.
I hear that Paris Hilton is going to queef the national anthem at the next race.:) |
I'd watch that.
|
If NASCAR had any shred of credibility this might be a problem, so there's no problem at all...
|
NASCAR=WWE of motorsports.

Someone had to hold the guy up!

While I thought it dumb to have her there and to make poor Mike Bliss drive that pink car, which I would have put into the wall a lot sooner. My biggest beef was all the damn commercials. On top of that, when the commercials got done playing and they went back to coverage that bozo announcer repeated every commercial...in case we had forgotton already.
|
Who is Kim Kardashian?
I assume some babe host of some car show on Spike? |

I watched that race for about 15 minutes while I waited for Supercross to come on. Those two hillbillies - 15 minutes is far more enough of that crap. I guess I'm not the demographic that Fox is after.
|
I grew up in Virginia and NC and have been to 100+ races and I can’t stand to watch that crap anymore! That "Digger" is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Don’t even get me started on Waltrip and the other announcers! Who starts the race is irrelevant to me.

I have not ever understood Nascar !!
Yes, to me it is the equal to "All star wrestling" and "bad country music" I did a small survey about 2 years ago............Many thought they could go dwn to their dealer and order that car if they wanted to...............shows the inbred non intelligence that is so swooned by it. The car is not a car at all. By the way it is made it should have to race with the Carts and then see what a fabbed car should do............NASTY car so sucks. 1 -10 % is made from a donor look a like (probably a roof panel) and then that is cut up so to have a air brake when it gets its ass going the wrong direction 2- has a carburetor !! LOL 3- resrtictor plates ROFLAO !! where is the race part ?..Lets take the speed out of the race car ? 4 - has to way a ton and a 1/2 ........race car ? LOL 5 - The grand finale.....a small diving board on the side so the yuppie driver can do a somersault off the door !! Think I will go hurl |
Your numbers are old.
1) 0% is made from the real production car. They all run the same spec chassis called the COTM. 2) NASCAR is looking into fuel injection. Understand that changing this would be a HUGE change to the teams and a huge change to how the rules are applied. It's much easier to look for cheats in a mechanical device than in software. 3) Most racing series use some form of restricted intake to limit horsepower. ALMS and WRC come to mind. Other series run a stock engine or limit displacement. Either way, the intent in the same: to limit top speed from exceeding driver reaction time. 4) ALL race series have minimum weight requirements. That said, there is a lot of real engineering that goes on in NASCAR. They have figured out how to get 900+ hp out of a pushrod V8 and how to get it to rev to 9,000 rpm. These guys study every rule in detail and look for any wiggle room possible. It's widely believed that most of the teams have figured out how to implement a form of traction-control through the ignition system. |
I can only quote what they had on line for their rules about a year ago...it is a circus no mater what
