Book about Jesuit schools-read the series as a kid
 

Any of you guys remember a series of stories about a boy that attended some type of religious school with monks? I think it was set in the days before cars.

They were funny and interesting but not really about the religion at all. He was always getting into trouble with the monks for pulling stunts.

The characters I recall were drawn like the recent movie "The Wild Things".
