autotrader 356 ad.

i responded to an ad for a nice looking 356 located in erie pa. this is the first answer that i got...

....Hello ,
Thanks for replying to my ad
I want you to know the car is in excellent condition with no rust or any kind of damage anywhere and it doesn't need any maintenance.
Title is clear and free of liens.
My price is $ 3555. I am now in a divorce and I am in desperate need of money to pay the mortgage on my house with this economical crisis.
That's my only reason for selling it otherwise I wouldn't do it.
Where are you located?
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask
Best Regards ....

i replied that i was in new york and would like a telephone number so as to set up an appointment to see the car, this is the next email from "her"....

....Hello again,
First you have to know that the car is 100% working and looking AMAZING, no flaws or dents, no scratches or any kind of damage, no flood or wrecked and it has a full US compliance, no engine problems, the interior looks great. The car is located in Reno, NV sealed and ready for the shipping.I want to tell you that we will use Yahoo Finance in this transaction in order for both of us to be 100% protected and insured by them. Yahoo Finance will supervise this transaction so there won`t be any problems. They will take care of the shipping and all the small details. You will get the car and you will have 5 days of inspection in which you can decide if you buy the car or not. If you won`t like my car (not your case) you notify Yahoo Finance and you send the car back on my cost,if you want to keep it you announce Yahoo Finance to send me the money (payment method and all the details will be set up by Yahoo Finance) and you keep the car.IF you are serious then you will be the buyer. Please reply with your full name and shipping address in your next email so I can open a case with Yahoo Finance.
P.S:The phone company make some upgrades in my area and my phone line is down . If you have other questions , please email me and I will reply asap .
Best regards,....

i was going to tell her that by a strange coincidence i would be in las vegas next week for a convention and could pick up the car while there. i am afraid that may upset her plans though.
anyone have any ideas , please speak up.
this is an opportunity for amusement and i could use some.

Ask if you send a check for $5000 too much, can she send the balance back to you?

Leland Pate 03-07-2010 01:52 PM

Tell her that as it happens you are the heir apparant to the Kingdom of Zamunda. You have recently inherited a fortune totaling more than 45 million Euro. However, your father recently was exiled from the country after a Military coup d'état forced him from office.

You accept the offer for the car and are ready to make her an offer she can't refuse. You agree to send her a Money Gram for 734,406 € (1.1 million USD). All she has to do is send you the car and subtract the asking price of $3,555.00. The only other stipulation you add to the arrangement is that she double pinkie swear to donate at least 5% of the profit to a cancer research center of her choosing.

Something like this?

Tell her that you have a 12 inch, left-turning dork. You've lost your job and you don't really have the $3555.00 anymore but could something be worked-out?

Before revealing dork turning directional specs, best find more out about her; I tried that once but turned out she was a right winger and she told me to go screw myself with it.

Ask her to sign the title over to you and forward along with pictures and you MIGHT send the money, that should get an interesting reply.

Just say that you have a brother who lives in Reno, so there will be no need for shipping. He can pick up and pay cash first thing Monday.

+1

Don't go overboard or they will realize that you are on to them.
Have some fun, stretch it out...

Tell "her" your really interested but would like to see pictures first. Then go to Google Images and see which one she stole.

If you mention you or a friend can come look at it you will get a response saying it's locked up, ready for shipping and can't be opened.

Tell her that you're sending me with the money and instructions to kill her if the car is not what she says. ;)

Rick V 03-08-2010 02:49 AM

ask her if she has a sister
