sorry to hear about this!

I'd have to disagree with Sniper; Porsche's solution to this problem was the AWD 993 TT pal

I disagree with you...everybody knows the new 4 door sedan is the hot P-car ticket these days.

REALLY sorry to hear about your loss man! I have not hit anything in over 20 years, but i remember how much it sucks when you total a car you love.

Sorry bro- really sorry.

The 911 still looks better even after the wreck:)

Glad it wasn't worse, berettafan... hope the insurance company doesn't give you too much beef.

Superb "Bobism"... I'm sure most of us remember it well.

Please forgive me, but THAT'S funny.

McLovin 03-08-2010 02:01 PM

I remember seeing that in R&T when it originally came out 20+ years ago, when I was a teenager. (They used to have a funny picture and caption on the last page, which was the first page I always turned to).

I was so damn funny, I've never forgotten it, it struck me at the time (and still) as the greatest caption on a photo ever.

berettafan 03-08-2010 03:31 PM

McLovin that is damned funny!

Ah the good ol' R&T days. Used to be a great magazine when i was a teenager.

Woah... that sounds interesting... please share the story.

Sorry to hear Eric. I know it must be a blow to you both car and ego wise. Learn from it and all is good. And you didn't get hurt so all is even better.

You're lucky to have State Farm. I've been with them 30 some years-and their claim service is outstanding. Once had an M5 entire front clip replaced (2 in of icy snow and jersey barrier) only to hit a deer a week after picking it up from the shop and having all of the work done again-they didn't bat an eye.

Had a Duc that was a constructive total, but we worked the claim together to avoid that-had to agree to no supplements after my final estimate, but it all worked out, kept the bike, got it fixed, ended up ahead.

Be clear with the adjuster about your emotional attachment to the car (they've probably already guessed) and work with them, suspect you'll have it fixed better than it was.

The Panamera is an unquestionably amazing car...we must learn to evolve...watercooled in the rear and radiator in the front actually does work...
