We're getting a lawn mower

Best residential zero turn lawnmowers | lawn mowers for residential use | commercial riding mowers(riding lawn mowers) | industrial lawn mowers- Dixiechopper.com

This is the one we are getting, my wife loves it.

I hope she loves it, she is the one that is going to use it.

not sure how hilly your property is, but be EXTREMELY careful on a grade with those. ZTR mowers easily roll if you make a sudden movement on a hill. (like a Bobcat). guy in my hometown got killed by his

People in PARF are definitely not getting alawn more. They're still fighting and bickering as usual.

Sweet!
I've thoroughly enjoyed ours. Couldn't lift my leg high enough for a Dixie, but our Snapper works pretty well. Cut my mowing time down to about 50 min (from around 1:20) for 1 1/2 acre. Still have to do the trimming & cleanup - but short of a lawn service, there isn't a good way to get around that.

Did you look at the Ferris or Ariens products? Those are mowers. Love the snapper, always been a fan of them.

We do not have a dealer that I am aware of that is close by. So, no I did not look at them.

You should see the terrain my friend uses a 74" Dixie Chopper Excalibur on. He works for the national park service and they put them things on some steep terrain. The 74" is a wide mofo and as long as you mow hills with a sideways approach it is virtually impossible to overturn. They had some kind of training that taught them that when they started sliding (sideways) down the hill they are supposed to flip the mower into a "down the hill" manuever, this give you a good opportunity to bail out as opposed to going backwards I guess . He says they get stuck in the roadside ditches from time to time but never have a rollover. His is a pretty heavy, longer and wider wheelbase machine . My neighbor has a smaller Exmark homeowners unit and I can ride wheelies on it for a ways cause it is light in the front, This can cause some problems on the hillies

Let me reccomend weighting the front end a little on those. I have driven one and they are very light on front. easy to wheelie

That was the problem with the Bad Boy...it would tear the yard up a tote the front wheels every time you turn it.

While I really like the Dixie Chopper, when I "test drove" one, the front was light and it was a bit high for my taste. I went with an Exmark instead. But any ZTR will cut down your mowing time to about 1/3.

I have no lawn. Now that's as less as you can get. What's that funny vehicle peppy posted, a golf cart?

I've had a Grasshopper for about 12 years. I really like the deck out front. You can trim around trees, etc. very easily. Downside is that there is as much machine behind you as in front. You have to remember if you turn left, the back of the mower is going right. Takes some getting used to.
