I love a good burnout, and that one was pretty spectacular, but at some point, it gets boring. I was at a Hot Rod car show where they had a burnout competition. You'd pull the car up to a cement block with the rear tires on a steel plate, and bury the throttle. That was pretty darn boring.

Al Gore would have a heart attack if he saw that. That's quite a carbon footprint.

It goes to these guys- not qute a pure burnout... but a continuous smoke filled donut/burnout fest:
I've heard the first hand story on this. So Formula SAE cars run an endurance race right? It's about 22 laps head to head. Something happens with their car and they DNF... turns out it was something stupid like a broken toe link. So there is a 'practice area' setup at every FSAE competition where you can run out and drive some skidpads or set your launch control/traction control/brake bias etc etc before every event. After they DNF'd endurance they decide to go roast off the set of tires in the practice area. Needlesss to say the marshals were very displeased, as well as some of the team sponsors. They were 'uninvited' from the event for a few years.

Yup, that's the guy. I'm one of those suckers that bought one of his T shirts too.
He's a great spokesman for gun owners everywhere. I kept waiting for the starter guy to get decimated.... |

PS: I love Steve Lee's "I like guns" song! That video has an AWESOME array of weaponry.

You looking to get me banned snipe? Sure fire way to do it sonnyboy
.That song is pretty spot on - I like the feel of the wood and steel and the way they look too. My Daddy gave me a really sweet .22 rifle when I was 7 or 8. Around the same time he took me to his pistol club and I was taught by one of the committee members (a one eyed doctor who was an evil shot) all about handguns, how to be safe around guns, how to shoot, how to care for them etc. I have a deep rooted respect and love for shooting....just don't get the time anymore sadly...one day when my brood has flown the coop I think I'll start up again. Mike's not into it really so that will be a "me time" activity .
