Bad wife totally and utterly destroys you and your life.
I'm just sayin'.... |
I post what I thought was a funny bit and you guys took it levers away from being a funny bit..
Over 40, never married, close though, more than once, no kids (at least that have ever come forward). Snipe, been there, done that, over & over & over, so I can tell you, at some point, there will be a change in your heart... Plus, it would be nice to have kids to leave the things that are most important to me too.. |
I have a god son for inheritance issues, and really for many of the daddy roles. His father is dead now. I am a God Father in more than just name to him. I think that's really made my decision to be perpetually single a heck of a lot easier. So have two extremely crazy (in totally different ways) ex-fiancé's.
BTW, taking the fencer to see Alice tomorrow night. At her request. In other words, she's taking me to see Alice tomorrow night. :) Life truly is good. |

Dating a woman who is good with sharp objects seems, mmmmm... I don't know..... maybe a little crazy. But then again my second wife shot at me when I told her I wanted out. Lesson here: women can be great then turn crazy in an instant. Like spontaneous combustion, you never know when one will go off. |
I like dangerous women.
Glad the 2nd wife missed, this is a good thread topic. ;) |

Luckily the bird shot wouldn't penetrate the overstuffed chair I drove behind. After two shots she gave up. I guess I "dodged a pullet" that time. |
umm... not sure what it is but I dreamed of this last night... still remember what we were doing/talking about :D

Both sides of the institution of marriage have pros and cons.
However, getting married should have some basic tenants: effort, maturity, commitment and the want of kids. At the moment I'm a strong believer in wanting kids. Living with your partner is at times just as good as being married or even better since you "both" have a clear right of way to the exit. Men are not really the species to be tied down to a monogamous relationship and I really respect those who enter such a relationship without breaking that contract. However, lot's of people break that trust and contract; meaning they weren't ready yet. I can respect Snipe for his views since he is mature enough to know what he wants and mature enough to know that he isn't ready to be tied down. Now what would be more interesting is having a poll to score card our conquests :) Then we can award bragging rights :) |
No point in getting married unless you want kids. At my age I don't think I want to try. -
39, no wives, no kids, and no intention of getting married- and I just became a ranked member of the Cougar hunter club 2 hrs. ago. Fooled me pretty good. That body was as tight and as well built as a 25 y/o. It's past the 40's. She comes back here for round 2 Thursday night :) Back to my cigarette.. rjp PS Snipe you're right- This one brought me her neighbor to refinance... |

But if you make a bad judgment, it only lasts a night or two and the obligatory two weeks of tetracycline. With a bad wife, you could be stuck for years, give away half of everything and still end up on an antibiotic drip. Plus there's always the in-laws. Welcome to the Adams family. I'm just sayin'........ |
that is, as long as it's bacterial...

I have a playmate flying in from houston on the 30th, and leaving on the 11th. 29 years old, former dancer, now working in interior design. I've been chatting with her online for several months. Wooohoo...6 more days. :D Quote:

Plenty of worthless wives have given their man the clap (or worse) over the years. Plenty of men have given it to their wives too.

An architect, an artist and an engineer were discussing whether it was better to spend time with the wife or a mistress. The architect said he enjoyed time with his wife, building a solid foundation for an enduring relationship.
The artist said he enjoyed time with his mistress, because of the passion and mystery he found there. The engineer said, "I like both." "Both?" they asked. Engineer: "Yeah. If you have a wife and a mistress, they will each assume you are spending time with the other woman, and you can go to the lab and get some work done." |
