Perfect choice, why doesn't anyone get their cars together in Baltimore? There is some great stuff around.

I really like the CSi's, and they're getting harder to find. You have a very nice example there.

It's gorgeous!!! What year is it?

VincentVega 03-21-2010 01:02 PM

Nice pickup. How does it compare to the 911 on the road?

Sweeeeeet:D Have alway loved those the CSi series of cars. Had looked into the mid 80's as a DD. Fun going out for a drive no matter what you take.

cnielsen 03-21-2010 03:28 PM

I've always wanted one of those...very cool!!!

There's no comparison to my '87 911 or '95 M3. My 911 is chipped, no cat, MK exhaust, lowered, sport suspension. The 3.0 coupe is a well behaved somewhat heavy street car. OK power and handling. Totally stock except for the radio. Civilized, but definitely feels old school. Here's a long story that I'll keep short... My ex-room mate bought this car in late 80's? from the guy who imported it from Italy in the early 80's. I bought it from him when he tired of it, I sold it to one of my closest car friends (Dave), then he sold it to friends of mine who vintage race Porsches. Then Dave bought it back 8? years ago. And so I bought it back. Yes, I know, I need professional help. It's a very nice driver. Engine compartment is neat as a pin. No major issues, but certainly little things to do. We had it checked for rust, came back with a good bill of health... although I know better :-)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1269216756.jpg

Very nice car...

The current BMW range is no were near as desirable as these classics. They were always special.
Somehow the current line up isn't... They look like they could have been made in Korea and not Germany.

I guess Porsche isn't the only car company who has "shifted" their product line.

Love the old styling of the BMW's, it's a piece of art. I own an MZ3, and I can't understand for the life of me why they went to the Z4 body style.

Absolutely fantastic! 3.0csi always have been my favorite car after 911. Had the opportunity to get my hands on a one back in the 90's and passed man do I regret that now!

kaisen 03-22-2010 05:10 AM

Fleiger, your pictured Orange Jagermeister car is a 320. The others are 3.0CSL's though.

vash 03-22-2010 08:14 AM

that is my all time favorite BMW. if you gave me a choice between a CSi and a new M3..i would agonize, and then go old school.

great car. beautiful.

herr_oberst 03-22-2010 09:05 AM
