Iron-on repair patch, car cover

At 3-400 $ a crack for a good car cover, has anyone had good lock with an iron-on fabric patch? I have 1 1/2" split, don't want it to get bigger. Thx, jp

No experience, but I'd think about it before I plopped down $3-400. Do they have patches that are soft vs the denim type I grew up with? Being so small, it might nit be a problem?

Not car cover specific, but there are some excellent patches on the market for patching tent flies and the like... I'm guessing they would work well for your application. The ones I have used are not iron-on (just press and hold) and have held up on the fly of a four season mountaineering tent over multiple seasons of abuse.

I got a good size rip in the one I got from Pelican, I took it to the local sail maker and he patched it for $20. Nice job and not even real noticable.

One and one half inches?

Dude, that could easily be repaired with a needle and thread.

If you don't know how to thread a needle and sew it, watch the first few minutes of First Blood one more time and you should be able to figure it out.
