A few beautiful antique autos

Ran across a few pictures of cars today on the net, and I just can't stop myself from staring at them. If they made cars with this much style today instead of the crap that's crammed down our throat, the world would be a better place! What do you folks think?

1. 1948 Norman Timbs Buick Streamliner. A little ungainly from the front, but breathtaking from the rear view.

2. Unknown. Anyone know what this is?

3. Unknown, anyone know what this is?

Just a guess on the second two, but I'm going to say that they are Delahayes.

I saw a few last year in Houston at the Keels and Wheels. They are beautiful.

Number 3 is 1939 Delahaye Type 165 M

I think that one or both of the links below is to the same car.

Figoni et Falaschi Delahayes. Gorgeous, esp. the 165.

Looks nice until the bumper requirements, pedestrian safety rules and signaling regulations get to it.

That Buick - the first car - is sublime.

There's just something about that form that is really intriguing -- especially the rear 3/4 view.
