A few beautiful antique autos
Ran across a few pictures of cars today on the net, and I just can't stop myself from staring at them. If they made cars with this much style today instead of the crap that's crammed down our throat, the world would be a better place! What do you folks think?
1. 1948 Norman Timbs Buick Streamliner. A little ungainly from the front, but breathtaking from the rear view. ![]() ![]() 2. Unknown. Anyone know what this is? ![]() 3. Unknown, anyone know what this is? ![]()

Just a guess on the second two, but I'm going to say that they are Delahayes.
I saw a few last year in Houston at the Keels and Wheels. They are beautiful.

Number 3 is 1939 Delahaye Type 165 M
I think that one or both of the links below is to the same car. 1939 Delahaye wins Best of Show - European Class The Best Car Design? - The Acura Legend & Acura RL Forum

Figoni et Falaschi Delahayes. Gorgeous, esp. the 165.

Looks nice until the bumper requirements, pedestrian safety rules and signaling regulations get to it.

That Buick - the first car - is sublime.
There's just something about that form that is really intriguing -- especially the rear 3/4 view. -Z-man.
