Gun article. Pelican?

Didn't the shooting described in this article get reported here? Is Jim Corley a local?

Sure sounds like the same story - more power to him!

Interesting that MSNBC cites a CDC study, but not the scientific study done by John Lott, professor at Yale and Wharton, published in his book More guns Less Crime.

This was not the pelican encounter.

That took place in a law firm. It was Rick V wasn't it?

Dueller also blasted a bad guy once as well.

BTW, the good guy mentioned in the lead of the story used the same pistol i carry daily.

Check out the poll on the MSNBC site:

71.6%
Very safe: If a crime is committed or a threat of violence made, they’ve got the means to respond.
25,585 votes

24.3%
In danger: These people could be trigger-happy yahoos or stumblebums whose weapon might go off by accident.
8,686 votes

4.1%
Not sure: How would we know? Wouldn’t it depend on the state laws involved and circumstances?

From the article:
"“He said, ‘Give me your wallet,’” Corley recalled. “So I reached around to my back pocket and gave him what was there.”"

Dang!

Believe we were talking about our friend Kurt in the Mid-West who was acosted and shot the perp.

He has changed his user name and does not need/want the publicity about it so not going to say anymore about it.

There is a good reason for it and we should respect that.

Not sure about being a stud but he sure is a good shot!

Yeah, Kurt.

Sorry, got the two mixed up...

And agreed, that was damn fine shooting with a pocket pistol. I wonder if it had a CT or Armalaser on it. That's a very popular mod with Kel Tecs, and it makes them very precise.
