Staying near Fisherman's Wharf for a TV Pilot. Anyone want to get together for a beer/dinner?

I will actually be in Oakland on Saturday, the 27th for a wound care seminar. Ends at 1800, have to pick up the wife in Sacramento about 2200 that evening. Perhaps drinks or dinner? A bit touristy down by the wharf, there are a lot of places in that town though. I am sort of partial to the Pacific Grill, good seafood, relatively reasonable. The Cliff House has the stellar sunset view, cursed with the tourist thing as well though.

Not to hijack, but what do you think of the secondary application for that redistricting thing? They want to know about your whole damn family.

Redistricting, I have to give up on, I can't commit that kind of time. Also, yeah, way too much personal information.

How about meeting for drinks on Saturday? Maybe 7PM and we'll go from there. I'll have Donna with me. I have to work early on Sunday on the TV Pilot, and I don't know what time yet. I'll have a car, so I can meet you anywhere that is convenient for you. Let me know. I'm looking forward to it.

Toby, my wife, a girl friend of hers and I are meeting at the Pacific Cafe on Gheary Street (around the 7000 block, and 34th or 35th street for drinks and dinner about 6PM on Saturday. Anyone else able to join us?

damn. i love that place. even the cheap wine they hand out while you wait is alright. you wouldnt want too big of a group, the tables are not that accomadating.

Toby, my wife and a friend and her daughter had a wonderful time. Thanks for taking the time out to have dinner with us Toby. Forgot to take a pic. Tobra is a lot younger than I expected, I suspect that I'm a lot older than he expected! He told me I'm the first Pelican he's met in person, I'm guessing he's about my 100th. I've NEVER met a Pelican in person that I didn't like very much; including several on this board that I have disagreed with very strongly. I happen to agree with Toby on most issues.

DON'T TYPE SOMETHING HERE THAT YOU WOULDN'T SAY TO A PERSONS FACE OVER DINNER!!! THERE ARE TOO MANY GREAT PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD WHO CAN BE YOUR INSTANT FRIEND/ALLY. I'VE HAD SEVERAL PELICANS HELP ME IN A JAM, AND I'VE HELPED ONE OR TWO IN A JAM..
