New Driving Shoes Came In Today

I custom ordered some Converse as summer driving shoes off their website. I'm going to get some arch support inserts soon. I kept the color scheme simple and B&W so that I could wear them often. On the website I tried laying out an orange on one side blue on the other with a green interior, purple stripes, red thread stitching and white tongue but chickened out.

I have driving moccasins for hot days but they are not good everyday kicking around and walking shoes.

Have you ever thought about being a shoe model?

I have used these as driving shoes. I glued a felt sole to a pair for use as a summer wading shoe for fly fishing. They are classics.

They make one for skateboarding with a felt-like bottom, might be a knock-off brand though.

If you decide to upgrade to a leather Converse they now make a "slim" model. I did not notice this before on the website and might have purchased it instead. I would think it would make for better pedal feel and not be so clunky two of my pet peeves with the classic Chuck.

The thick sole and lack of a round heel makes Converse a less than perfect driving shoe. However they run wide, and fit my wide feet pretty good.

Tabs, of course they double as walking shoes, unlike the fancy narrow driving shoes which do not fit me properly.

Superfeet makes an insert that should work well with those. Get the blue ones or the black ones. If they are at all tight in the forefoot, get the ones for dress shoes, sub $40. I had some Chucks when I was in school that I made some orthotics for, they have zero support off the shelf, but with the ones I made, they were pretty sweet for hoops, uber light.
