Hey Tom,

Thanks for the comps. I love doing this stuff. Since my S car is gone now, it's nice to have a creative outlet. Paul's scope is an older Tasco, a Japanese one. if I recall is a 3x9x40. I'm not a believer in hanging expensive glass on a gun unless it is a high quality gun. All my Tasco's especially the older MIJ ones are just fine. If you don't have mounting holes drilled on your action you will have to have it done.

Targa,

First let me say the work you doing is amazing. Secondly, what scope is that on Paul's rifle? I am looking for a scope for my 'sporterized' mauser.

Let me know what you're looking for. I have a few 50s-80s vintage scopes that I would be pleased to sell.

Henry,

Someone trying to make a "WW2 sniper" rifle would love to have one or two of those.

My latest dilemma is this jap gun my brother gave me for my birthday last week. He won it at a Quails Unlimited Banquet 20+ years ago. Brand new and never fired. I feel guilty popping its cherry.

(Yes I have wiped it down with oil;))

Speaking of shotguns, anyone know of someone who might want a brand new, never been fired, still in the factory numbered box, Belgium Browning A-5 "humback" auto in 12 gauge?

Here is my sporterized 8mm Mauser. Brought it to a local gun show a couple of weeks ago. I took one step in the door and an old man wanted to buy it from me. I was really taken back. It's just not for sale.

Where was your Mauser made? It should say on the front ring of the action. Do not sell it, they are getting pricey these days.

Targa I feel bad I never answered your question. It says BRNO, CZ on the bolt.

Czech k98 I'd assume. 8x57.
