The Hits Just Keep Coming...
As I noted the other week Aunt's husband had a cancerous lymph-node, turns out to be full fledged lung cancer, non operable

Bummer, you and the folks around you don't have the best luck when it comes to health. Maybe that's the price to pay for getting to hang out with you. (I'm convinced that the Dos Equis guy is based upon you in some way) Sort of like needing some yang to balance out the excessive yin. Or is that yin to balance...
Anyway, I'm praying for you and your people, either remission, or quick and as painless as possible. May God watch over you.

I can relate... Although not the same situation as you I have witnessed many good people pass away.
My parents came to Australia in 1960 from Europe as part of the post war migration program. My dad passed 11 years ago from the complications of diabetes. My mum is 71 and starting to slow down a bit but otherwise OK. The thing is a lot of people from their country came out at the same time and because of their age they are starting to die off. The local cemetery is filling up with people we know. Every week, two or three of them pass away and my mother is always going to someone's funeral. I go when appropriate and that happens about every 6 months. My mum just lost her eldest sister in Europe. She would have been 84 this year. She's the first to go of 6 siblings. Long life and all that but it's had a dramatic effect on her brothers and sisters. The average age is about 83 for men and bit more for women. Long lives for sure but still very sad. You have my condolences.

Yep, used to be my High Screwall classmates died via war or accidents...these days, the usual cause is medical. Father time beats us all...
