Somebody's new Ruger LCP

Not mine, I'm just the interstate transfer agent. Curious to see who comes to claim it.

My dad was telling me the other day that my uncle just got a new carry pistol (not sure what brand) with a polymer frame, and apparently got the frame in some ridiculous color (pink?). He thinks he'll be less likely to take the pistol out in a "I'm a bad a$$ with a pistol so step off" moment and will only take it out if he has to shoot someone because hey, pink gun.

The raspberry is a factory special order limited edition item.

Mine will be all black, i think.

I'll buy mine next week when i get paid. Toss in another $160 for the CT laser and about $20 for a couple +1 mag kits, and i'll be all good to go.

Now that's a purty little gun! With the precision and utility of the CT laser and +1 mag extension (7+1rds) it should "punch" well above it's weight.

The LCP will be replacing this:

My Kel Tec P32 with CT laser and 10+1 rd extended magazine.

The KT P32 is unmatched in size and weight, but it has all kinds of niggling issues and the quality- while certainly serviceable- is definitely not up to par with the Ruger. Plus, the .32acp, while IMO capable, has a lot of inherent issues because of it's semi-rimmed design.

I'll load my LCP with 295ft-lb Buffalo Bore 90gr+P Gold dot JHP's or Cor Bon DPX with Barnes solid copper HP. Both give 95% of standard pressure 9mm or .38spl+P velocity, expansion, and penetration levels.

I'd give my left nut for a LCP in 5.7x28mm.

The LCP is stage 1 of my firearms modernization program.

PS: Goldenloki.com can duracoat your firearm in any of hundreds of different colors.

You're probably already aware, but the +P ammo is not intended to be used with the LCP. I know lots of folks that do it, but...

From the manual:

Stay safe!

This is Arkansas David, if they're carrying a purse it'll be a woman.
Bill, one of my wholesaler's has the Crimson Trace for $134. If I have something else to order soon I'll add one to the list for you.

I only use +P ammo for defense, manual be damned. In all honesty, there is no such thing as .380acp+P anyway. ".380acp+P" is just ammo loaded near the SAAMI pressure limit for that cartridge. I am quite certain that the LCP is proof tested to the SAAMI pressure limit.

Sounds great Jim, i'm definitely going to pick up the CT laser, so that'll really help me out.

I like the Walther PK-380, it's a nice piece, but it's huge for a .380

My P7 is the exact same size and holds just as many 9mm bullets.

Well, just pulled the trigger on an all black Ruger LCP.

Now all i need is a CT laser, 3 more mags with +1 kits, and some Cor Bon DPX.

Here's my little .380. I swear I can't even hit the ground with the thing. It's too small in my hand. I don't enjoy shooting it at all. Plus, I think it's a piece of junk.

Oh man ,I had one of those once and totally agree about hitting anything with it . I swear it had a rotating barrel that was at 2 degrees and had random lock ups at every shot I traded it for an Anchutz rifle and never looked back

Well i'll give you a review of my LCP after i shoot it. I'm expecting great things. Since the early recall gun issues they seem to be totally solid. I can already tell you it has a very nice little trigger pull, even right out of the box (the heart of any spoon is it's trigger pull IMO). I'll be definitely taking it to my gunsmith for a good polishing though. I bet it will be exquisite afterwards.

The LCP is built really, really solid. It's basically a Kel Tec P-3AT clone, but a beefed up one. Honestly the Ruger is what Kel Tec should have built to begin with. The ruggedness is exactly what one expects from a Ruger.
I am sure i am going to be tickled pink with it, as i have been with every other Ruger product i have ever owned. (2x mini-14's, a 10/22 bull barrel, a Police Service Six .357 magnum, a SP-101 .357 magnum and an 8 3/8" Blackhawk .44 magnum. My cousins old P-85 9mm was also 100% dead balls reliable as well)

With the CT laser, a +1 mag kit (as much for the enhanced grip it affords as the extra round it offers), a good trigger job, and Cor Bon DPX ammo (10.75" penetration and .65" caliber expansion!) this should be a pistol that is far more capable than it's tiny size would ever lead one to dream of. Cor Bon DPX performance appears to be so good that you're basically carrying an 8 shot standard pressure 9mm when you slip an LCP into your pocket.

Far from being a last ditch defensive tool an LCP so equipped promises to be a viable primary sidearm for almost anyone but a uniformed cop or soldier.

We have finally come to an age where modern technology has merged targeting systems, spoons and ammo to make some truly remarkable and effective weapons systems in even the tiniest of packages.

If you offered a fellow an LCP with CT laser, +1 mag kit and Cor Bon DPX vs. a circa 1945 US GI M1911A1 with military ball ammo (230gr @ 830fps, 330fpe) as a personal defense weapon, i honestly think that one can say the LCP would be a clearly superior choice in pretty much every way.

LCP and a modern customized 1911

I had an AMT .22mag automag. And yes a series piece of junk. How they put out such crap is beyond me.
