Small Stuff Bins for Garage

All

I am looking for ideas on how to replace my "small stuff" bins that currently sit on my table. You know the cheap plastic pull out bins you get at a hardware store that are 3" deep.

Do you have a "system" that you particularly like?

Anyone have a system that works in drawers? I was thinking tackle boxes, but the dividers of everyone I have (for fishing stuff) end up coming out over time, mixing everything up.

Thanks

Jack

I have a card catelog from a library I picked up cheap. Right now I'm storing larger stuff, but I could easily see dividing the drawers (especially if you get one of the card catelogs with the pull out shelves) for smaller components. Each drawer has lables, and you would have options for larger components than would fit in one of the 3" deep things.

I made this pick rack out of scrap wood and a couple of boxes of HF bins. I also made three shallow trays that I use to dump out a bin of say, bolts to find just the one I need. I can post some pix of that system if anyone has any intererst;
The rolling rack holds 90 of the bins, and the one on the wall behind the chest holds some more.

I have less than 20 bucks in both of em, including the cost of the bins.
