Compressor Trivia..

I've been looking for a light duty compressor since my son keeps griping about using the lowly Snap-on hand tools that he got as part of his tech scholarship vs his impact gun. After reading up, I really didn't want to buy any of the newer small units I've seen (as they mostly sound like junk) and, didn't want to spring for a big pricey one (no room). I ran across this one on CL today. I'd never heard of "Classic Compressors" Looks like it's a one-off place out of MN?

Anyone here ever seen/heard of them? It appears older (maybe?) but solid, cast iron two cylinder, oiled, belt drive and says 6.2 @ 90? The motor is a Century brand. At least it isn't all plastic!

Ok, before anyone says it.. I know, it's too small for anything serious.. Seems like it should be fine for occasional use though?

6.3 cfm (cubic feet per minute) @ 90 psi (pounds per square inch), Check the air tools and see what the minimum cfm requirement is to run the tool.

It is unlikely that 'Classic Compressors' does anything other than apply stickers to the compressors they buy (or import).

See where the pump is made, see if parts are available. But that looks a lot my old Sears compressor that has run fine for about 30 years.

At least it has oil. I don't like my little 'oil-less' compressor. It's a ticking time bomb waiting to fail.

I have a similar looking one, says Huston, Texas on the label. Two hp also, no cfm rating sticker though. Mine is a twin cylinder, can't tell if yours is or not. It has no trouble running a 1/2" impact.
