my 13 year old daughter has been threatened

i will try to make this short.
one of my daughters friends, ronna, keeps her horse on the same property as ours, my neighbors. for over a year now, they have not been taking care of the horse like they should, partly due to money and partly due to white trash, i mean being lazy. they dont feed it everyday, no hay, it has not been wormed or had shots and its feet have not been done.
it came to a head sunday when ronna came buy to feed. i was cutting another board to keep the horses out of the hay because ronna's horse ate, yes ate, through the last 2. i decided to have a talk with her. i showed her what her horse has been eating, wood, and she could care less. she said the horse does not need to eat every day. i asked her if she feeds her dogs every day and she said yes. i asked her why but she just stood there.
in the end, my wife called this friend that takes rescue horse, not what i wanted her to do. the lady called ronna's mom and basically told her she could come out there with the police and take the horse or she could give it up. her mom said NO POLICE, her husband, an ex hells angel is already in jail for drugs.
ronna sent a text to the neighbor girl, jenna, and said that if my daughter says anything to her about the horse she will do to her what she did to this other girl she just beat the crap out of at school, i dont remember her name.
we told jenna to save the text for now.
yesterday ronna told another girl that if my daughter comes on her property her mommy said she can beat the crap out of her.

our plan so far is to file an information only report with the police. i dont know if i send the police down there if it will stir this up more.

ronna is about twice the size of my daughter and could seriously hurt her.

Threatening people is a crime. Ronna needs to understand that, one way or another. Being WT and all she probably does not know it, so perhaps you should explain it to her.

Wow, that sucks, I've seen this story unfolding as you posted about it. It sucks that you guys and the horse has had to deal with these people. I hope you guys come out of it ok, and I hope the horse is taken from them.

Bad situation. File police report to CYA in the likelihood that you will have to take actions into your own hands to protect your family.

You did exactly the right thing w/ the horse, BTW. I would maybe communicate once more with the mother of the trash girl and tell her to explain to her daughter that you were the one that made the horse go away and that if ANYTHING unpleasant happens to your daughter, including threats in person or by text/internet, authorities will be notified immediately and that the daughter will go away just like the horse.

I would share this information with the police, and see if they will go talk to the girl (just to show her the gravity of the situation). This may deter any further threats.

I once "stole" a dog under similar circumstances.

Previous owner was an attorney and hauled us into court several times.

Doing the right thing is not always easy but sometimes needs doing.

Hopefully Ronna can be shown the error of her ways though I seem to doubt it.

For sure your daughter understands that her parents are people of character and while the short term may be difficult for her she will grow into an adult that you will be immensely proud of.

WTH are trash like this doing with a horse. Not a cheap animal to take care of. I bet they have a nice satellite dish on their trailer though...

I feed half the dogs in my neighborhood... not by choice... they find their way in to get to the food... I think I would of offered to purchase food for their horse and have them pony up (no pun intended) when they could afford to... could still be a option, but I don't know your situation that well... hope your daughter is okay... people these days are crazy so remain level headed and think it through till you come to the best solution.... would CYA though at least..

I teach my kids to stand up for themselves and what they believe in. They don't get bullied because they won't stand for it.

Was out at dinner over the summer at a place with a large sand area for the kids to play. Kinda looks like a beach. Lubey knows the place.

My kids and their friends were playing nicely. A group of older larger boys started to antagonize them. My daughter got up and confronted the ring leader who had 6 inches and 20-30 lbs on her. He tried to push my daughter. He won't make that mistake again. She pounded him into the ground like tent stake. He was a bully and like most bullies had nothing to back it up.

she's about 10..struck him with the meat tenderizer..
and went Tasmanian on his butt..
living in Germany..
thus nobody got sued..
him..he needed stitches..

Sure but there is nothing to stand up for here.

You can walk through life enjoying the best of it or you can stop and talk to trash when it grabs your attention. imo the walk is much more pleasant when you opt not to stop for trash.

thanks for the support. i am already into this horse for $300+. i was partially feeding it in the begining because i new they could not afford it but i wanted ronna to be able to ride with the other 2 girls, but then we could not afford to feed it anymore, plus i hoped the 2 girls might influence ronna, or maybe we would have an influence on her. i was not worried about my daughter being influenced the wrong way, she has a good head on her sholders for a little girl and knows right from wrong. i confronted her mother about providing food a while back. that turned out very bad.
i will file a report with the police today, but one more threat and the police will be at their house. if ronna touches my daughter, i will do as much as i can legally. BTW, the judge lives between us and WT. i talked to him last night. he cant see over anything to do with this, but i think he will make sure if anything ever comes of it, the result will be severe. he does like them either and he thinks the world of my daughter.

its sad because i think ronna could have been a good kid but she is a 100% of a reflection of her upbringing. she made some of the same comments to me that her mother did. 12 years old and on her way to having a police record. in that family, they will probably be proud of her.

the horse was taken yesterday and will go to a good family. the horse still looked pretty good, but it just tore me up to see it wanting food when ours were eating. i was still giving it some food sometimes, i just did not let ronna know.

i am hoping that this is just a kid thing and it will blow over in a few days.

thanks again for the support. i am just worried about my daughter.

i will take any chance to show her off. does she look like she is going to fight anyone?

oh, i had to move the 911 out of the garage and into the carport because of rebuilding my workshop, i guess i will have to make room back in the garage, ronna already spit on it, who knows what is next

it just got worse!

my wife filed a report this morning. the police said one more infraction and ronna goes before juvie court. if the school had not handled it internally when she beatup logan, she would already have gone. the police contacted ronna at school and of course ronna lied and said cailey, my daughter, had sent her some herassing text messages but her mother took her phone. this is NOT what i wanted to happen. now cailey can not go ANYWHERE alone. the police also said her and the dad are not the only ones in trouble with the law. BTW, the dad is doing 20 years, he was actually a very nice guy, much better to talk to than any of the rest of them.

this really sucks.

You are a good man. IMHO you have done all the right things. It reflects in the difference between your daughter and Ronna.

My 9 yr old. Does not look like she's going to fight anyone either. And she won't unless she is defending herself. She's been studying martial arts for a few years now. Men suck and ai'nt no way my little girl is going to have to put up with any crap from one if I can help it.
