Well then tell him to buy the MR2, and soon it will be yours once he gets sick of contorting himself to get in and out of that as well. :D

Get a gen 1... parts are dirt cheap and interchangeable from the fwd sedans, plus there's more storage space.

Why would I buy a car that has the looks of a wedge...

A lot of people like the looks of a wedge shaped vehicle. ;)

Sid you really need to drive a mk 1 and a mk 2 before deciding on a Spyder if MR2's are the way you want to go...

A mk1 with a nice suspension feels like a Lotus. If you can get over the styling, they are very rewarding. Also have moderate trunk space in the rear.

A mk2 turbo has been compared with the likes of the Ferrari 355. I've driven several, they are the real deal.

Mike... We weren't looking to buy an MR2.... It just popped up and my dad is interested.... and if he buys a car... It will be a soft top... Just one of his criteria...

If he passes on this one... I doubt he will try again... He kinda stumbled on this one....

Then the answer is no. Toyotas are crap and the people who buy them don't know how to drive worth a damn.

$6K is a ridiculously low price, even wholesale, if it is a nice clean car. Buy it, drive it, fall out of love with it, sell it, and not lose a dime.
