Going to Yosemite next weekend, I want to do some fly fishing...
I've never fished any of the sierra rivers. I am heading up next weekend. I have been told that the Merced is pretty well blown out right now. We're staying at Housekeepers Camp in the park, so I'd like to get something close.
Anyone know of any good spots? Also, what's hatching this time of year? I'll bring some bead heads and some other big ole nasty looking nymphs, but what about dries? Let me know what patterns and sizes. I'll be bringing my 4wt. Guide I spoke with said that should be plenty. TIA
