MB built the 170 from 1935 to 1953, I believe the questionable car is an early example

daepp 04-27-2010 06:52 AM

30-35 MBZ 200 Cabriolet. sitting on the dealer's showroom floor. The attention to details in these cars is staggering.

Tishabet 04-27-2010 10:44 AM

So what's the deal with the shifter? is that a "5" or an "S" or...?

daepp 04-27-2010 10:45 AM

I am guessing it is German for overdrive!

HelmetHead 04-27-2010 12:00 PM

"S" for "schnell"?
