I hate giving out my SSN. Probably the reason I have never done a free credit check online yet.

Vash, it's a good thing to get nervous over that kind of stuff. Do you have your paypal account tied into an account at your bank just for paypal? I find that it's easiest that if I buy something I put money into that acct. and no matter if it is hacked they can't touch my saving.

Helps the cold sweats.

Good advice above. BTW, I do not use paypal...I've read too many horror stories & complaints.

And make sure you sweep out your paypal bank account as soon as you get the money!

+1.

Internet buying can be risky, but with all things you can minimize those risks.

Vash, glad I could help. I can't take credit for the idea though. My dad came up with it first.

I will not link paypal to a bank account. I use a credit card, so I can dispute the charge if necessary.
