world super bike at monza = 203mph

Soup :: Roman Candle: Biaggi Surpasses 203 At Monza :: 05-07-2010

The Italian triple-power of Max Biaggi, the Aprilia RSV4 Superbike and their sponsor Alitalia pooled well enough in the first practice session at Monza to set a new series top speed record.

Biaggi and the Aprilia were clocked at just over 203 mph.

should be another good weekend of racing

A buddy let me ride his superstock GSXR 1000 a few years ago at Heartland Park Topeka. He had new bodywork and a fresh paint job. I was parking it in the corners bigtime. However it was still stupid fast and very easy to ride.
I glanced at the gages as I went past start finish at 167 indicated and it seemed easy. I suspect even 203 or 5 does not seem that unusual until it is time for the brakes.

The Aprilia must be making some serious HP to punch a bike through the air at 205

Go Max

As I said I did something over 100... I say that because once the speedo hit triple digits I was too scared to take my eyes off the road.

This was on a vintage Suzuki three cylinder two stroke... scary as he11 but oh what a beautiful sound.
