I'd have thought either Roush or Shelby would win the poll. Did you click on the results?

Actually, they made far less Bullitts than other models...Mine a late '09 build, it's strut brace number is 6380. Strut braces numbered on both the '08 & '09 models sequentially. Black Bullitts are the rarest...best guess on a bullitt board is around 20% were black. No firm numbers from Ford yet.

I don't know which one is best. I simply haven't the experience to know. The commercial that was posted the other day really got me thinking though.
I could go for a little of that. |

They are all vastly improved over the previous model. I can't wait to see or drive a 2011.

Yes, the 2011 5.0's will be hot mommas...412 rated horsepower. and 6 speed gearbox that yields good highway mileage. Only thing I don't like, and it's an opinion thing, is the body changes they made beginning with the 2010 models.

Paul I hear ya on the 2010s... that sloped ass just doesn't do it for me...
If I was going to buy a pony car it'd probably have the Roush or Saleen name on it though... |

I dunno..l.I've just never been a fan of "huffer" motors. They don't have the lifespan of normally aspirated engines.
That said, if I really felt the need to keep up with the 5.0's, there are ways to do so while still keeping the '09 style. ![]() ![]()

Mods are a slippery slope, indeed. Blower would put the horsepower past the 5.o. But then, I'd want to up the Whoa to match the go, would need to beef the front suspension to handle the 60 lbs. of blower weight, etc. etc. etc.
Naw...think I'll probably stay stock. I mean, 315 ponies get me to the pool hall & back just fine... ![]()

I wouldn't modify the engine. Take out some weight, some suspension mods, and the car would be better than it already is.
The Bullitt is my favorite Mustang. It has a nice purposeful classiness to it. The Shelby is next. The others seem too aftermarket to me. By the way, has anyone seen what the Mustangs are doing in the Continental Tire race series? BMW and Porsche has...from the rear. ![]()

How can this be? Everybody (?) knows that cars with live rear axles can't keep up with fully independent suspension cars on a road course!

I guy in my neighborhood has a dark green over black with anthracite wheels. No spoiler. Dont think its a Bullit though. I smile every time it drives by. Reminds me so much of McQueen.
