I dunno about the fastest -- let's compare: Panamera Turbo vs. Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG:
Panamera V8 Turbo: Motor: 4.8L twin-turbo V8 500hp twin-turbo V8 Power: 500hp / 516 lb ft of torque (568 lb ft in overboost mode) Weight: 4343 lbs 0-60 - 4.0 sec. 1/4 mile: 12.0 sec Top Speed: 188mph MSRP: $133,575 CLS63 AMG: Motor: 6.3L V8 Power: 507hp / 464lb ft of torque @ 5,200rpm Weight: 4200 lbs 0-60: 4.3 sec. 1/4 mile: ? Top speed: ? MSRP: $97,950 Too close to say, IMHO... but the price difference is rather large, IMHO.

Agreed...I can understand those who ignore the domestic car makers...because I did for years. But really, there's some pretty hot stuff out there. Hardly a family Sedan, but a Shelby GT 500 Mustang now has 550 horsepower...adequate for the runs to Wal-Mart...

I'm planning on adding a 100shot of nitrous to my 928 so i can still play with the current generation of Pony cars on equal footing.

Mark Kibort ran a 75 shot of nitrous on his 928 race car for almost 3 seasons IIRC.
![]() Modern wet systems are very simple and reliable, i doubt i'll have any problems. |

LOL!
The poor E-RAM! I don't think he actually ran E-RAM's, they were just a sponsor of his. The E-RAM theory of operation is perfectly sound, but at just 1/2 to 1lb of boost i am quite certain it is not worth the huge piles of money it would cost to put FOUR of them on a V-8 928 engine....lol For the same price you can put in decent lightweight racing seats and a nice lightweight 3" exhaust and obtain a far more pronounced performance increase. Is E-Ram still in business? |
