I met a landscape "worker" who said he was a brain surgeon in Mexico, now he cuts lawns in the US and makes way more money. Go figure.

What? Highly educated Mexican professionals are short? Makes 'em easier to spot when they're wading through corporate America, huh?

Actually, my brother, who is an engineer but now works in sales used to travel on business to Mexico City as part of his "region". In talking with white collar professionals down there (and yes, there are plenty), the subject of illegal immigration would come up. He said that the professional types down there felt that we should construct a tougher border to slow or halt the flow northward.

I don't recall the exact details of the conversation but he said they (white collar guys) didn't have a very high opinion of the illegal immigrants.

From what I've read, that is the thinking of the average professionals down there. Not many white collar's are leaving, but if too many of the lower classes are going, it put's a dent in their trade.

I assure you white collar guys hate the illegals going over the US as they degrade the image of the Mexican or Latin-American in the US. The "mojados" are uneducated people willing to work for near nothing. You'd need to understand the complex social issues within Mexicans. Mexico is a country that lives at Wall St. speed or Burrito speed, the middle lane is narrowing every day as the white collar educated people are leaving the country faster than you think...

I have never lived there but driven all over, worked there and been in Jail in Cuilican, could have been there for years.
There are soooo many better places to live.
