What do ya expect from a guy from Chino Hills?

RWebb 05-18-2010 01:36 PM

can't believe that idiot goes into a Bass Pro shop and utterly fails to hook her in the azz with a bass plug

what is wrong with the world today? I wouldn't let that guy run my trot line...

lane912 05-18-2010 01:41 PM

ok show of hands, how many people here fail to know if their firearms are loaded before they transport them?
personaly, it is the first thing I check.

Hugh R 05-18-2010 01:48 PM

A 45 round travelled about 40 yards and hit her but and did not penetrate the skin, but feel to the ground?

Burnin' oil 05-18-2010 01:49 PM

Problem with the load or the butt?

nostatic 05-18-2010 01:54 PM

.45ACP stopping power my ass...

URY914 05-18-2010 01:57 PM

COTTAGE CHEESE is a PROVEN BULLET DEFLECTOR!

Jeff Higgins 05-18-2010 02:03 PM

That had to be one fat ass. I bet a TV remote and some spare change fell out of it on impact.

Nice. Well delivered. ;)

And the round "penetrated the clothing but not the skin". Interesting.

Who pulls the trigger without checking the chamber first?

I was in this Bass Pro last night. I've shot at their range before. Their procedure is riduculous. You take out all of your firearms at the turnstyle right inside the front door, in the middle of the walkway, no table or counter to work on. Then they put their trigger locks on every firearm.

In my case, I was glad I cleared them before handing them over - even though I *knew* they were unloaded - because the lady working the front waved them around like she'd never handled a gun before. Some customers entering the store were pretty freaked out when they walked in and had a gun pointed at them. Then you walk for 30 seconds and the guy upstairs takes the locks off. When you're done, same drill on the way out.

Stupid procedure. If they didn't have it, this idiot's guns would have stayed in the bag until he was on the range, and he would have (hopefully) popped one off down range and only scared himself.

Glad the lady was okay and not dead.

Head416 05-18-2010 05:21 PM

Oh, and I went with .40 S&W because it has better penetration than .45 ACP. SmileWavy

Groesbeck Hurricane 05-18-2010 06:18 PM

I had a .45ACP ricochet off the baffles at the back of a firing range and come back to me. Embedded itself in my shirt on my left shoulder. I was the only one on the line at the time and had just pulled the trigger. When I say embedded, I mean it was stuck in there. That was a full on ricochet.

I call something wrong with the idiot and the round.

targa911S 05-18-2010 06:37 PM

Should have known he was an idiot. He was buying a gun at a Bass Pro.

Rick Lee 05-18-2010 06:46 PM

I don't have to check my guns, since whatever I carry is always loaded and chambered. I also would never disarm at a store entrance. Unless they have a metal detector, I carry.

dipso 05-18-2010 07:41 PM

That's funny. We need more people who don't know how to handle firearms, handling firearms.
Didn't a guy driving home from church, shoot a guy who was unloading groceries a week or two ago in Arizona.
The clingers should not be allowed to handle weapons.
