Proceed with caution. I dated a stripper and then we lived together for over 2 years.

She was lovely and a lot younger than me. (I was 37 and she was 26)
My situation is different to yours because she was till working as a stripper while we were dating.

I felt insecure about her work but after some time I was Ok with it. I used to go and see her perform and damn she was good.
She was a full on pole dancer the whole thing. She wasn't a waitress/lap dance girl but a full on stage performer.
Great body and all that and a real sweetheart. So after about 6 months she moves in with me and life is good.

They strip club she worked in had a "stripper exchange program" with one in Canada.
She's Canadian and she decided to return to Canada because the relationship had run its course and she was home sick.

We still keep in touch through Facebook but before that we exchanged E Mails regularly.
All this happened 7 years ago.

With great caution. All of my friends who married strippers (4) are now divorced. 75% of their wives picked their drug habits back up after getting hitched and the other one never completely stopped. I'm not saying that all strippers are addicts but all of the ones I've known have flirted with the issue at some point.

I also seem to recall two of the women pulling knives on their husbands at some point. My life used to be so interesting . . .

I worked at strip joints (sorry, Gentlemen's Clubs) for about 5 years. They are all crazy, but then what woman isn't.

My experience was, 95%, their crazy is pretty obvious immediately. When you can see it you can deal with it if you want to. 4.99% seem pretty normal, those are the ones that you have to be really careful about. The reason they seem ok is because their crazy is extra scary so they have it well hidden. There is the last .01% that are just your average crazy.

Well, I dated a girl years ago (40) who was a stripper, & we dated while she was working. Great looking girl. A little over six feet tall with blond hair that came down to her butt (sorry no pics), slim & shapely, attractive and personable. I only dated her for a short while, because of the problems that came with her lifestyle. First, she got laid off twice for snorting coke at work - but of course she was popular and they took her back. Second, she was exposed to a lot of every kind of drug & dope at her work and in her life. Third, every kind of low-life biker dude was chasing after her and wouldn't take no for an answer. It got to be a huge hassle. After that, I decided never to get involved in that kind of mess again - not even with a girl who had that in her past.
I did make an amusing impression on a couple of buddies visiting me some time after I stopped seeing her. The wanted to go to a club, so I took them to where she had worked - not knowing she still worked there. They were pretty blown away when she came over after dancing to say hello to me and give me her phone number. Never called her, and ran into her a couple of years later. She was heavily into the drug scene then. My answer is NO!

When you say "years ago" do you mean back when she was in her early forties, dancing in the club out past the airport district, near the river? If so, then the answer is NO.

I don't know any - just always wondered about that whole life style and wondered what it would take for a girl to do that? I guess its no different than hooking or porn? Still, it always seems to come back to drugs or somebody abused them or both.
