My dropping blood pressure

So, as you may know, I've lost over 50#'s in the last 6-7 months.

I was at the dentist today and they took my blood pressure again.

I noticed a significant drop since Sept '09:

9/09~ 153/88
10/09~ 125/81
today~ 108/76

What do you think?

KT

That's great, trek...are you on any meds? Natural supplements? Excercise? Or solely weight loss?

Or maybe its all the fun you're having with the Lemons

Excellent work...

I've lost nearly 40 pounds over the last 3 years.

BP When I started... 145/95
BP This morning... 115/65 ~ I have my own automatic BP machine.

Also, My blood sugar levels have dropped as well! WAY COOL...

Before weight loss... Average during the day 6.9mml, Fasting 5.8mml
Now... Average during the day 5.2mml, Fasting 4.9mml.

Not bad considering the history of type 2 Diabetes in my family.

AND I STILL SMOKE CIGARETTES! (I'm working on dumping this)

In the field we use 100+ your age, but 120 is what is considered "perfect" systolic, 80 for diastolic.

Here's a chart: Blood Pressure Chart - Normal Blood Pressure Range

Mine dropped to when I started exercising regularly again. Also, less stress on your feet and Knees. Good job.

That theory would allow me to have 165. That's too high.

We use that as a baseline. Most people have no idea what their BP is until they call because something is wrong. While it would be considered high, it isn't in the dangerous zone if you have no idea what your BP is normally.

If your BP is normaly 120 and it jumps to 165, then something is going on that needs to be checked out, but if you have no idea what your BP is, then we need some sort of baseline when taking a reading. We usually take 2 or 3 of them about 5 min apart to determine whats happening.
