Interstate arms trench gun

Anybody ever heard of Interstate Arms? I'm thinking about buying their 12G trench gun. I know there are better shotguns out there and ones that have more shell capacity. But I like the nostalgia of the 1897 trench gun. Just wondering about the company. Thanks.

Ever get your thumb pinched under the bolt?

For any actual real life usage a used mossberg 500 is a better weapon, but if you just want it for a nostalgic piece of US history, by all means, get it.

Honestly, if you're just going to hang it up next to the garand, along with an M-1 carbine and a Tommy gun, it doesn't really matter how good it is.

What i would do is google for actual owners comments, and not rely on gun rag recommendations. You should get a decent feel for the general satisfaction of owners in a half hour or less.

I have never handled one personally, so i could not say.

I go out and actually shoot my rifles and guns... LOL ... the only 1 i havent shot is the 8mm mauser....i just dont feel right shooting that one... but for the main part they arent just to sit around to look at... i like the older weapons like the garand.. and the trench gun.. you have to have a slight idea at what you're doing... garand thumb.. trench bite... lol.. but thanks for the tips...

well i did some research on it and it has a manufacture's code of BNZ.. BNZ stood for the Mauthausen-Gusen Concentration Camp in Austria. according to wikipedia.. the camp was one of two camps in Europe that were grade III which were intended to be the toughest camps out there, "extermination by labor". and i guess i just wouldnt feel right shooting it. not sure if i was used against the allies, civilians, if the gestapo used it or anything. im glad i have it because of its history, but more than likely wont shoot it because of its past. if only the rifle could tell its stories.. lol...

It's chinese. I can't say I've had that model in my hands but if you just want something for show and tell it should be ok.

This will be my next shotgun. I'll add a 2 round extended mag on it and it's good to go.

Just for grins What's your serial # on your Garand. You can leave the last TWO off if you worry about that! I'm always looking for my Grands sisters.

I have 6384XX and 1089XX

Next week or two I'll get a HR Service Grade from the CMP. I hope it's not reparked by the greeks.
