Sonoma Vintage/historics/wine
Anyone going/have gone to this?
General Racing - Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival Any good? Now that Earle is no longer doing the Monterey/Laguna Seca and is doing this one, thoughts on whether it will be the better event...

Only wine & cheese crowd or more fun folks?
Where to stay, especially if we drive the RS?

No, loads of vintage racers and car folks.
I think there were at least three 935's last year racing. There are lots of nice hotels within 20 minutes of the track. The Embassy Suites in Napa is 25 minutes from the track and is pretty nice. ( comp breakfast and cocktails in the evening ) There's a hotel just 10 minutes from the track near the Sonoma Square ( Old Downtown ) where a friend of mine works. I may be able to get you a special rate. Book now, though. KT

Good spot, where they are going uphill around a corner and have to slow down.
I like the walk around in the pits thing. My brother got some free tix from his work before, it was pretty outstanding. Took a test drive in some Dodge thing and they gave us each a shirt. Been a few years, should go again, make time for it if I can. Wow, that is just a few weeks.

It's a good event. The pits are a great place to hang out and see the cars up close. The racing is fun to watch. The wine tasting tent is a fun break.
It helps that the track is 15 minutes from my house.
