It is nice to see someone out of Hollywood doing something good, using their own money....

Tom I don't think he's being PARFy at all. Just pointing out that someone is willing to try and do something about, instead of thumping their chest, and postulating for the cameras.
Mr Costner has my respect. Most onf Holly wood only cares if you care enough. not if you actually do anything.

How can you talk about his movies without mentioning "Dances With Wolves"? His Opus, by most accounts. |

Agreed. Kevin Costner is largely defined by Dances with wolves.
It is the movie that made Waterworld possible, such was the magnitude of his stardom as achieved by his work in DWW. |

Avatar = dances with Smurfs in space. ...so I hear.
Anyway, that is some good planning on Kevin Costner's part. Not to get all PARFY ...It is surprising that the almighty US govt. which BTW, collects more taxes and fees from. Big Oil, than does big Oil collect in profit ....that they, the US government, have no equipment for such a contingency.

Here is another proactive solution (which doesn't involve anyone's heal, on any others throat)
...was posted a few weeks ago. The short of it is; certain grasses absorb oil (as they say 'ahlll' ) off of water, which can then be scooped up by net fishing boats, and then burned for energy. But, I suppose, letting the oil have massive wide-spread contamination, such that many lawyers can bring many damages to big business (who will pass the savings on to you - w/o being called a tax) works too.
