Thanks!

It's gonna be finished at the body shop tomorrow, then it goes to the paint shop for a full respray.

Happy happy times. :D

ramonesfreak 05-25-2010 06:27 PM

you have the hottest looking 928 ever. damn i want that car

i always hated how porsche ruined the look of the original 928..doing away with those great tail lights.

Jagshund 05-25-2010 06:53 PM

Oh, go push it in a lake . . .

You and your people with cars that move on their own. I hate you all.

HHI944 05-25-2010 07:37 PM

Snipe, what are you wanting a picture of? The only red lettering on mine is the HK on the grip. I know some came with red-lettering on the slide though.

Groesbeck Hurricane 05-26-2010 07:06 AM

Snipe,

We ALL know that a 928 is not reSQUIRREL!!! SQUIRREL!!! Right there! Chimpmonk!!!?!

m21sniper 05-26-2010 09:25 AM

Someone asked me on another forum why i painted my LCP lettering in white and red, so i explained that HK does it to many of their firearms and i really like the look. Then i proceeded to search for a few pix as examples, and bang- there's my 928 right on page one of the search.

My old Savage .32 auto (now property of my 11yo god son, it was his dad's pistol, and kept under lock and key by is mom) also comes up in page one of the search, but that's understandable i guess, as it has painted lettering.

Thank god for Google Safe Search... ;)

I didn't see any water pumpers in my search.

GG Allin 05-26-2010 01:48 PM

Are you user "Valorius"? Same avatar.

LakeCleElum 05-26-2010 02:17 PM

Well, a week or two ago, I wondered what your Avatar was all about, so I googled:
altus volo mugio extraho

3 of the top 5 hits just said: "M21Sniper's Avatar"

Kinda felt like I was going in circles at that point......

cgarr 05-26-2010 02:37 PM

So thats why you never post in the Porsche 911 Technical Forum

sammyg2 05-26-2010 06:04 PM

How many 'lectric motors does that thing got? ;)

TGTIW 05-27-2010 06:48 AM

I think the correct question would be, "How many 'lectric motors does that thing got, that still work? ;)

9dreizig 05-27-2010 06:55 AM

Good looking car!! When are you moving the engine to the rear ?

Altus Volo Mugio Extraho is latin for "High Speed Low Drag."

Right after i move to Kalifornia, which i expect will happen right after i develop the urge to own a car that i cannot make throttle or braking inputs to while cornering.

You know....never. ;)

All the motors work except for the electric mirrors.

Of course i have removed a few of the motors the car came with to save weight (power seats, rear wiper), but they all worked when they were installed. Really the only motors left in the car is the one under the hood and the blower motor.

928's are very simple cars in design. They're just hard to access due to the fact that the car is built like an onion.

In layers.
