searching forums for a post from a specific user
 

I'm trying to find a post from a specific user. I know the user name and I've tried a bunch of keywords but am coming up with nothing. I just want to see a list of everything that user has posted and I can find what I'm looking for.

When I click on a username, I can find this info in the "statistics." Problem is that I can't find ANY posts by this user...

Any of you search experts have tips to share?

go to the search page (click search above, then choose advanced search), enter the username on the right. You'll get everything they've posted, but I believe only the last 500 or something like that. If you get nothing, try entering the first few letters of the username and wait a second for the system to give you suggestions - maybe you haven't got it quite right.

I believe that method will give you a list of the threads the poster has posted in. Not just the specific posts. You'd then have to go through all the posts in each thread to find the specific posts.

If you go to the User's profile, go to "statistics" then click on "Find all posts by [User's Name]" and you will have a list of only the posts by that user.

For example, here's the result of that search using the OP's user name:

Change the "Show Results as" setting from "Threads" to "Posts"

If you go to his profile, then the "statistics" page, and click "Find all posts by {username}" it does the same thing.
