Jerry Bruckheimer's 348ts Ferrari

A buddy stopped by on Sunday to snap some pics of his Dad's car, a 348ts. Folks like to use my pond cuz it purdy!. Always a nice show for Sr. Prom according to my Son!

Come to find out Jerry Brucheimer used to own it. Not that it really matters to me but I thought it was mildly interesting. So he ask's me if I'd be interested. After I stopped laughing I kindly said no. He is asking $49K for it. I asked about how much it costs to run the thing - we quickly calculated it up to about a $1 a mile. Ya, that ain't gonna happen.

here is a stolen pic of Jerry on the right side with a different car...

I've driven a 348. It's no faster than my 993 and it's certainly not as reliable.

I remember a story about those Ferraris: Bruckheimer and the other guy, Don Simpson, bought the Ferraris together to celebrate their success with "Top Gun."

Remember also that the 348 in the Ferrari world in the equivalent of the 924 in ours.

Nah, I'd say the 348 is more like the 928, or maybe the 944 turbo in "our" world. The Mondial is the 924.

The Mondial was the Pontiac Firebird of Ferraris.

My 924 comparo was probably unfair. But I have often heard Ferrari guys refer to the 348 as a dog and the worst handling Ferrari of all time.

I've heard the same. Plus it's an ugly car. I'd rather have a 308 GTS quatto-whatever, than the 348.

Too weird. There's a black 355 spider on my local CL that's claimed to have been owned by Bruckheimer.

I like the 308, 328 and 348, but they were all dogs with fleas. Not fast cars.

The only F car I've driven is a 360 and it wasn't particularly slow.
