Docs: delayed bruise
During our standard Sunday "Tour de Taco", my riding buddy and I crashed. I was behind, he was in front, I was distracted by a model-A Ford and another car crossed in front of us. My buddy jammed the brakes on and I slammed into him at full speed. Him, nothing, pushed a little. Me? Bike flipped and face/chest down on the ground.
The worst initial damage was a small skinned knee. I didn't feel much, and we decided to finish out the ride, after straightening out my brifters. After the ride, no real bruising and just a little more cramping than normal. 2 days later, I'm now seeing the bruises develop and one area, that doesn't hurt/never hurt, has a huge "port wine stain" kinda thing going on. What is the deal with this delayed bruising? |
You tore some small blood vessels and it took some time for the blood to leak to the surface. Like a BP oil rig. :D

and they take forever to go away..

does it look like anything/anyone famous..
like Jesus, the Virgin,Opie...or that Mohoe fella.. you could sit on the curb and let folks touch it for a buck.. & give them your blessing... but if it looks like Mohoe..well you better stay low.. Rika |
You'll need to make a couple of "relief cuts" to either side of the bruise so that the pressure in that area subsides.

But when rotated, yeah, I can see eyes, hair, a mouth. My God! I think I have the Virgin Mary in a bruise on my leg...and she's smiling! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1275420018.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1275419949.jpg |
