WRT wrestlers and these kind of fighters, I suspect some latent homosexual tendencies that resulted in their choice of careers. I would think that would cause some inner turmoil and behavioral problems.

That's my guess as well.

More times than I can count, I've seen people with mental illness self-medicate with illegal (or legal) drugs and depending on the drug, it can cause either an immediate or long-term spiral out of control. (At best, I've seen the drug temporarily mellow the person and help them forget their problems/pain, but that tends to cause the long-term spiral as they seek the refuge of being high over dealing with their problems.)

When using hallucinogens, people with serious mental illness can have some really bad reactions when they experience a "bad trip". Like suicidal or homicidal bad reactions.

The thread and article title got me all excited, but then I was let down. I was hoping to read about him decimating his opponent in the ring somewhere in an illicit, underground fight held once a year in Prague or something.

No, it was just two freaks getting a bit too frisky at home. What a letdown.
