Is that top picture an MP5? If so, SCHWING!

K9Torro 06-02-2010 09:59 AM

Yep, standard issue in 10 mm, single and burst selector only.

All of the MP's are H & K and the 40mm launcher in the last photo is a H & K product as well. :)

Yep, heavy and slow rate makes for easy control they hang out on shelves these days replaced by the MP's and M4's in the field but they are still a hoot to take out every now and then.

clones are just that............clones.

real mcCOYS worth every penny and then some.

shot a real thompson with the drum. what a beast. heavy as hell.

K9Torro 06-02-2010 12:15 PM

I have never shot any of the cloned MP series, I have heard some of them are well done but some are P.O.S , I like some points of the HK launcher it is really well made and has the retractable stock but don't really care for the action/break system, we also have Def-Tec ones which have fixed stocks and a ghost ring type sight like the action/break system on them but not the safety and they are light weight and do not hold up well on some applications.

We have drums for the T's but they are old and have weak springs these days, they just hang out in the safes and collect dust.

RDTS.com does some really really really(DID I SAY REALLY?) NICE HK(real mcCOYS) BUILDS here about 8 miles from me.

have had them do some work for me on a couple.

most reliable SHTF spoons i own hands down. easiest to tear down and clean and inspect. no tools needed 99% of the time. never a FTF or FTE.

watching umpteen gangster movies over the years and seeing thompsons wielded like feathers, sure makes ya think when you pick up a fully loaded drum fed. hollywood movie props as usual.

looks like a hell of a nice range ya got there. trees sure beat the hell out of cactus.

Is the Thompson a Colt or Auto Ordance frm WW2.

If I were gona buy a auto...the Thompson would be it.

However the cost is now prohibitive...when living in CA couldn't have one..and by the time I went to where ya could have one..well they was toooo expensive.

That Thompson is nice but the MP5 after all these years still looks the business.

I remember the first time I saw one in real life. (MP5) ... Damn fine spoon!
Didn't they release a 7.62mm version?

sc_rufctr 06-02-2010 04:45 PM

5.56mm...

This one was Auto Ord , The 10 mm MP is a little different from the other pistol calibre weapons in that it has a bolt release on the left side similar to a M4.

Nice way to spend a day. The MP sure is a nice piece of kit!

JTO 06-03-2010 10:50 AM

I gotta believe that the HK in 10mm has a lot of appeal. More power than the 9mm version and a flat trajectory for a pistol cartrige. That's why I like my Glock 20 so much. It really has a lot of power.
