If it's that exact car pictured I'd say yes. But to buy an unloved example and fix it up, I'd put my efforts elsewhere.

That's a beautiful car.

Hey if it makes you happy and you can afford it... Why not?
Make the most of your life and a big part of that is being happy.

looks and sounds cool, what the hell is it?

scotricker 06-04-2010 10:29 AM

I need one, too! What is it?

Can't... quite... read... what's on the horn button.

But those look like Smiths guages, so it's British made.

So, no... you shouldn't. :D

+++Edit: I saved the photo and zoomed in... it's a Bristol. Still British.

Hey, it's your emotions buddy. How many lives are you expecting to live, after this one?

Why anyone ever posts here seeking advice on NOT buying some interesting car is beyond me. We're addicts. This is the LAST place to ask for an automotive reality check.

That being said, Embraer: There's an old doctor in my office bldg with a brown Jensen. He gave me a thumbs up once when I was on my Duc and we were both leaving the parking garage. If I ever find out he's putting it up for sale, I'll think of you.

It's a Bristol with a Chrysler motor. Early ones had Bristol motors.

Not sure of the model.... Britannia???? 1970's????

scottmandue 06-04-2010 03:09 PM

If I could, I would... buy it that is!

I prefer to call him the 'Prince of 'Why are none of my gauges working and why won't my farking lights shutoff even when I turn the switch off and remove the key from the ignition''
OR
The prince of 'Why does my trunk smell like an electrical fire.................again'
