Forget the basketball accomplishments for a moment. Instead, consider what he really was teaching. A few quotes:

I got to meet Coach Wooden briefly. My HS coach played for Coach Wooden and he came to recruit a senior on the team I played for.

We were all a little bit in awe...this was in 1973.
