MacBook Pro question:
HOW do I get rid of "temporary internet files" on a Mac? This is easy to do in Windows, but so far I can't find it on the new Mac I have now.

What browser?
The stock Safari? With Safari running upper left click on Safari, pull down to Clear Cache. For History go to History and pull down to Clear History. The actual cache files are here, /Users/[your account name]/Library/Caches/Safari |
I use Yasu: http://jimmitchell.org/yasu/

You can also enable private browsing and no temp files will be stored.

Hmm...I use Google Chrome on the Mac [it is faster than Safari].

For Chrome it's Chrome menu/preferences/
In preference pane click Under The Hood, Clear Browsing Data button. Manually the path is users/your account/library/caches/google/chrome/default/cache/ |
The easiest way to get rid of everything is to go to Safari>Reset Safari...
