Yeah...:( Probably wouldn't have helped, but I can't understand a school not calling to check when a kid is absent...

If they're gone more than 24 hrs., chances of a happy ending are just about nil. The Elizabeth Smart story was a once in a lifetime miracle. No others end like that.

reading the detailed account I immediately thought "biological mother" but sounds like she came to town when notified.

A parents worst nightmare...
