- when you read it, be sure to distinguish events before 2007 with those after - the new CEO was brought in then

no body has responded to you? I think this needs to be talked about, too. I think Bp is arrogant( they are British company ,working in foreign country?) So, I read this last night and thought about it ...... the government loves to FINE, why, it makes them money, it would have been a lot easier for BP to hire out independent companies to fix things that need to be fixed and probably cheaper. I do not believe all oil companies should be demonized because of this. Most oil companies are class acts, want their well sites to look good ... ect. Obviously from the 1st remarks made by the ceo( Haywood) he's not too smart with the press. This was a big boy well and we need offshore drilling.... why, because thats what America runs on, I think some people are calling it addiction, there are no alternatives good enough at this time to take the place of oil, do I want them, you bet, my primary concern is to cut money flow to people that would use it against us. Maybe Bp is so big they just payed the fine and went on too big to make decisions or maybe they just don't care ... like what happens with big government or any big company... microsoft? another thought, these wells are miles away in a offshore enviroment, ive been harping about why haven't we seen pics of Obama on a offshore rig, if the president is scared to go out there then maybe their not being regulated at all. also, how are we going to hold BP accountable when the government has taken it over, sure they are responsible up to the takeover, but not after. Obama probably wanted to cut through the red tape( that government creates) but you have to have knowledgeable people in the field making the decisions, not people that have never set foot on an offshore rig
