Welcome to Chicago, where only the cops and criminals have guns, but I repeat myself.
This really speaks to the political structure in the city. If you are part of The Machine (and the cops are most certainly a part), you are protected from real consequences.

Honestly, I wish they'd have pulled out a gun and shot the guy. And, I'm pretty sure, that would have been justified.
At this point, someone needs to beat the guy so he's in the hospital for a month or two. No permanent (physical) damage, but he needs a serious beat down.

Just one of the many examples of the systemic failure being experienced in our society.
This is truly disgusting considering that if anyone of us did this to a cop we would do jail time after a nickel ride on the way to the station and falling down some stairs. Not to mention being dragged through the mud on the news. This guy should be fired....Period. |
