College Football... Minor League for the NFL?
My side of the argument...
The players have the opportunity to get an awesome education. I can't even imagine what that is worth these days at an Ohio State, USC, Penn St. It is a small amount compared to what the university 'makes off' the athlete. But is it any different than any corporation making money off it's employees? Yes there are really horrible rules in place that prevent a student/athlete from helping themselves out. But I can't sympathize with inked up guys, (thousands of dollars), that whine about it. In general I don't feel sorry for the poor athlete that has the world by the sack yet that most don't use. And think about it.... out of the 90 some scholarships given to a football team, how many 'athletes' come out of it. No one seems to talk about that in arguments. How do you pay the stud football player and not the volleyball player? I'd love to have a debate from the other side...
