ok a can will be 4-500 plus yer 200 dollar stamp and then either ya find one or move onto a version that has barrels awhaleable.

since ya got the 9mm bug like meeself a usp compact has barrels threaded resonable priced. great ccw and ya can put the UTL light on it and slap some trijicon nighty nite sights on it and yer golden.

my goal is .22 can for pistoles and rifles(10/22)

a can in 9mm for all my nines and my hk-94. same threads thruout.

a .45 can with same threads thruout.

a .30 can for every .30 cal and .308 i have. all same threads.

sound simple?

its a logistic nightmare trying to get it all together figuring which can will work on every caliber and pistole/rifle and come up with same threads for each caliber.

Supposedly one can get a threaded button rifled aftermarket P7 bbl for $350.

There are only 2 or 3 gunsmiths in America that are qualified to install the barrel on a P7. The procedure is exorbitantly priced.

Then there's the price of the can, and the registration procedure.
It would easily cost me $1000.

There was a threaded P7 on GB the other day for $1700....used.

I prefer to spend that money on an FN 5.7 and other upgrades for my small battery of spoons. Or on my Porsche....lol.

Maybe someday, but for now, it's just a dream.

well planning is everythang and plan on 10 yrs from now what calibers yer gonna have, what ya wanna suppress etc. its only gonna get more spendy i can promise that.

my smithys creedo is a 1000 rds backup per spoon. im working on some that i have to fill in, and have exceeded tremendously that number on other spoons.

just p/u on sale some .380................1000rds. hahahahahaha

.22 we have scads

9mm we have scads

.38 slim since i just got back into them

.357 same as .38 we are working on both as far as bulk buy.

.45 we have scads

.30 carbine scads

.308 scads and scads and MORE SCADS

12 ga we have scads and scads

.410 we have scads

working on .44 mag bulk buy with amigo. so .38/.357/.44 is what were filling in on.

its ALL ABOUT "SCADS" LOL! and cleaning and polishing and polishing some more and ramping and polishing and deburring and polishing and reloading and swabbing barrels and lubricating and q-tipping. and of course buying zoomy goody parts.

next we take soon to be wifey to "THE RANGE" and let her punch paper. this will be fun and a fer sure learning curve for her. wait til she steps past that yellow line when the range is COLD and gets her azz REAMED by the range master. cant wait for that! i can just hear it now "that guy(rangemaster) was MEAN TO ME!" hahahahaha

Very nice Sniper. The P7 is one of my favorite handguns of all time.

How was the rail attached?

Anyway, nice job!

I'd love to have one (or two) in my meager collection.

The P7 is my absolute favorite pistol of all time. I have lusted for one ever since i watched the uber cool Euro villain Hans Gruber wielding a factory hard chromed P7M13 in Die Hard....

This is the laser i'm going to go with, but in the compact SR2 version that's due out in September. Armalaser is taking pre-orders for them in August. Price is about $130:

The pictured Armalaser SR-1 is 2" long, and 8mm wide at it's thickest point. The SR-2 i am going to use is 1.3" long. The rail on my pistol is 1.25" long.

Armalaser has an awesome upgrade program, where you send your old armalaser model in with $29, and you can keep upgrading your existing laser for LIFE for a mere $29 per upgrade.

The guy i talked to on the phone said they'd be coming out with some green pistol models in the next year.

If i wear an untucked loose fitting t-shirt or any kind of a jacket the pistol is completely undetectable as long as i don't make ill-advised movements or poses. The P7 is still actually one of the most compact 8+1 9mm pistols ever made.

Thanks for the compliment my friend.

This would be my favorite "spoon" (saving for this one). I can carry this without a problem. Very discrete.

Ah, show n' tell eh?

Here's my Kimber that Rick Lee and I just finished installing a new trigger and magwell on. Not bad for the "Keystone Cops" version of gunsmithing:

now be sure to ROTATE ammo in those wilson mags every week like yer brother has been taught. dont cram them full. leave (1) rd out, and drop mag every week, wipe down lint/dust and reload. then you have HAPPY MAG SPRINGS!

i do this on all mine in the safes even. if its a 30 rd mag i put 28-29 in and then come back at later date and drop them all out and reload.
best excercise for them(springs) is to shoot them. DONT EVER EVER USE WD-40 around SPOONS! throw WD-40 the hell away from spoons. will deactivate primers and spoon goes click instead of bang.

anal..........YES! and anal KEEPS YA ALIVE! its how ya become JUAN W/YER SPOON. and we like HAPPY SPOONS!

nice shooter eric. im impressed with you and ricks gunsmithing. looks nice.

Not my favorite spoon (yet). I bought it last week and have only used it once. I thought everyone needs a good .45ACP so I bought this at auction. It's a Sprinfield with all sorts of things done to it when it was new and sold as a competion gun. I wanted it because it's got a six inch (Wilson) barrel and a nice long sight radius. It's a very utilitian thing. Not pretty like a Kimber or Colt Gold Cup.
