having my younger spawn being wrong handed is a giant PITA as far as my spoon world. think about it for a minute. everythang is geared towards correct handed peoples. giant PITA each and every trip to BFE.


since as you know i have been gearing up here and there and filling in quite a few empty spaces in my spoon sanctuary with lever actions and their lil wheel spoon amigos, we always have the holster dilemma.


after much thought and anquish and internet surfing i came up with another evil plan to shut the south paw up once and for all. i mentioned that 9mm and 45 are great manstoppers but damn weak and possibly cantankerous when mud and sand and dust enter the actions and that could spell disaster here in the event of a bear or mtn lion or a teradactyl coming out of nowhere wanting to make my kids dinner.

so we have settled on tried and true .357's. well find a decent holster that aint leather or cheap that is ambidexterous. leather totally sucks here. gets wet then dries to a piece of toast in no time if ya dont treat it with leather conditioner. another PITA.


well i found it fairly cheap $58.85-list $80 sumthang bucks) on opticsplanet.com by BIANCHI. i have like 8 of their rigs and they have bean wonderful over the years.


this is the UM84R for RETARD(southpaw) or revolver. totally ambidextrious and a hell of alot of really good protection bouncing on rocks etc. i have used these on my M-9 and my .45's over the years and never had a problem. they are NOT waterproof as one of my blue .45's can attest to after a very long cold wet elk hunt but they really do work well and are very safe. can use flap or not use flap. has button type retainer strap that can be used alone if ya want to play QWICKS DRAW McGRAW. also has integral cleaning rod, leg strap attachment point, goes on regular belt or wide mil spec belts quickly.
these bianchi rigs fit perfectly into our seal team elk insertion(shoot em from the cattle tank) program and our paratroop into elk controlled territory under cover of darkness program. they come in black also for the fashion concious ninja hunter like myself. i prefer black and green, it goes with elk and deer blood, maybe yer a woodland ninja hunter???

kid is happy except i didnt buy the woodland camo version. what a dork!

i forgot to mention the MYRIAD of BIANCHI goodies for this holster. if ya get the shoulder strap you can carry straight down yer chest a la "tanker" style. under your(either) arm covert ninja style or if ya got gorilla arms you can buy the drop down hip extension for full combat wombat style carry.
