Nationwide at Road America

I think the record so far is 3 contiguous laps under green.

And Jacques Villenuve is leading.

Firm braking, turning right, downshifting, avoiding contact and keeping your tires on the road...It's all very hard.

That was fun to watch. Hauling those beasts downhill and hoping the brakes worked? Awesome!

The three running in the front: Edwards, Villenuve and Menard was awesome racing. I have been watching Menard for a while. He's good on the road courses but always has some issue towards the end. I think when he punted Villenuve (I assume accident) and ran Patrick Long off the track was the most aggressive I've ever seen him run. Sonoma should be great as well.

What other pro series race at Road America? I have watched *something* from there, but can't recall what...

AMA superbikes

and they were faster around RA even with the "bend" section.
Motorcycle racers prior to reconfiguration refered to the kink as wheelchair alley.

cross post from other thread

ARRRRGGGGHHHH....didn't get to watch the race unfold...bartender didn't show up at wife's pub so I had to fill in on the patio bar since she was having a "pool " party and beach blanket bingo party outside. When I was able to catch a snippett of it on the tv's inside seemed there was some close racing but NASCAR was throwing full course yellows too frequently which makes a 200 mile race on a 4 mile long track go on forever.

Good show for what I did get to catch...

That must have been it....ALMS...I haven't seen it in years, since I can never remember when it's on. I see/attend a lot of Grand Am. That looks like a fun place, I need to get a truck and trailer to take my car.
